Descript vs. Firelight Chronicle: Why I Ditched Cloud Editing for My MMO Adventures

If you’re a fellow MMO gamer or content creator, you’ve probably felt the "Cloud Pain." You finish a legendary raid, you capture 40GB of 4K footage, and you’re ready to share it. But then, you hit the wall: The Upload. Whether you’re using Descript or another web-based tool, you end up sitting there for an hour, watching a progress bar, just hoping your internet doesn't flicker and corrupt your upload. For a long time, I thought this was just the price of doing business. Then, I started using Firelight Chronicle . Why "Cloud-First" isn't always "Creator-First" Don't get me wrong—Descript is a powerhouse for podcasting and dialogue-heavy work. But when it comes to MMO Adventures , the "Cloud-First" model hits three major snags: The Upload Boss: Your internet speed limits your workflow. Why wait to upload when your local PC has the power to handle the task? Data Privacy: Your raw gameplay is your personal adventure. I prefer mine st...

GTA V

Grand Theft Auto 5 Online.

I have had this game for ..im not sure how long. Its been years anyway.
I think I originally purchased or received it for free on the PS4 some five or six years ago.
I know the PC version of the game was bought may be two years ago.
Never really played the PS4 version, i think i did the tutorial and not much else.
The PC version and I are getting along well. I only play Online and have made some good progress doing that side of the game.
Yes, there are two ways to play. One is a solo game that is story and mission driven. It is kind of linear in that you have to do certain missions before the game opens up more. There are a lot of side missions you could do whenever you want. These side missions give you money and reputation with this person or that organization.
Then there is the Online way to play. This is as it suggests, with lots of other people. The game will put you in to a sort of server like environment with, up to, from what I've seen, 25 other players. Im not sure what the max is, 25 is the most I have had to deal with.
The online game is an open world city like area with some country suburb like setting as well. Other players can and will attack on sight with a wide variety of weapons. I have been shot at by an attack helicopter, a jet fighter, oh and a guy with an axe.
There are players that have millions if not billions of game dollars to buy just about whatever they can. Even a submarine. I
n both play versions, money is king. $70,000 dollars for a suit. $1.2 million for an apartment. $800,888 for a car.
You get the idea.
This game, along with all of the other previous versions of GTA, has had controversy. One of the most well-known moments of controversy for the series is the infamous Hot Coffee Mod for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. This mod allowed players to access a sexually explicit mini-game that was hidden in the game's source code. Because of the violent nature of the game, it is rated M for Mature.
And it is violent. Carjacking or robberies are the norm. There is a night club where you can get a lap dance. The NPCs, game-controlled characters, often swear at you. And there are a lot of NPCs even at night.
And they can't drive well either.
It is a very fun game to play, especially if you go into a private server/room or an invite only room. No one else to attack you, or at least not 25 people trying to wipe you out.
